CFFC Launch CalderMoments Competition for VCSE Organisations.

The Community Foundation for Calderdale Invites Not-for-Profit Organisations to Showcase Impact Through CalderMoments Photo and Video Competition.

The Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC) is excited to announce the launch of CalderMoments, a photo and video competition designed to highlight the incredible work happening in the not-for-profit sector in Calderdale and give organisations the chance to win cash prizes of up to £1,000, which they can spend however they want in their charity.

CalderMoments invites local charitable and community organisations to capture and share their impactful projects and initiatives. From heart-warming photographs to captivating videos, participants are encouraged to showcase the ways in which they are making a difference in the lives of individuals and communities across Calderdale.

Steve Duncan, CEO, at the Community Foundation for Calderdale explained, “During the pandemic, the general public realised how valuable the voluntary sector is to our society. We are in the unique position that we can still see all of the valuable work happening, and we can showcase that work and celebrate the positive work that is happening to make Calderdale a nicer place to live. The unrestricted prize money will allow the winners to enhance their support and services, doing even more good work in our community.

We invite organisations to harness the power of visual storytelling to showcase their impact and inspire others,” added Steve. “Whether it’s a snapshot of a community event, a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a transformative project, or a heartfelt testimonial from those directly impacted, every submission has the potential to resonate and encourage positive change.

The competition is open to all not-for-profit organisations in Calderdale. The judges will select the top three entries and award prizes of £1,000 to the winners, £500 for second place, and £250 for third place.

Entrants retain copyright but grant permission to CFFC for reproduction in promotional materials. CFFC will aim to display as many entries as possible through various media channels over the course of the year and beyond.

Entries for CalderMoments can be submitted online through the competition website: www.cffc.co.uk/CalderMoments. The deadline for submissions is 12.00 pm on Friday 20th September 2024.
