About the Organisation
Born from one mum’s struggle to find the care her son needed, Forget Me Not is here to provide essential care to children with life-shortening conditions, their families and families living with the loss of their child across West Yorkshire.
Supporting with the day-to-day running of our charity shop, in which some of the activities may include:
Handling, processing and attractively displaying donations,
Providing excellent customer service and serving members of the public on the till,
Being an advocate for Forget Met Not by promoting the work we do and the importance of raising funds.
What are we looking for?
What will you get from us?
You will need to have an interest in retail and customer service. Previous experience of working in retail is useful, but not essential as full training will be provided.
For this role you will need to be:
Friendly and enthusiastic
Honest, reliable and have a willingness to learn
Self-aware as well as able to reflect on your own experiences and feelings
Be part of a friendly team and meet new people to boost your mental health and increase social skills
Receive a full induction with continued support to further grow your skills and confidence
Build on personal development and, if ready, have the option to undertake our Level 2 training

Our King Cross shop is short of volunteers so we would welcome you as soon as possible.

Mon-Sat: 9.00am - 4.30pm
Sun: 10am - 4pm.
