About the Organisation
Holy Nativity turns 70 this year and the building has been at the heart of the community for all of that time, being originally funded by public subscription and arriving as a ‘flat pack’ church back in 1954. We are a vibrant and inclusive community hub that serves both the congregation and the broader Mixenden and Illingworth area.
We have a growing team of volunteers from both the church community and further afield.
Gardening - This takes place on a Monday and Saturday morning, although there is flexibility. You will be fully supervised and provided with equipment and safety instructions and there will always be a first aider on site.
You will be doing basic weeding, tidying and planting, litter picking and other maintenance tasks according to your ability and willingness to learn.

What will you get from us?
You will require a degree of fitness, flexibility and mobility but we can always work with you to see what's possible.
This is a great role if you like to work outside and with direction on simple tasks.
It can also be a creative role where there are opportunities to learn more.
A full induction will be given to anyone coming forward and we will always work with you to discover what gifts or talents you have to offer even if (especially if) it’s something we haven’t thought of yet!
