About the Organisation

The Core Therapy Service is at the centre of the Community Mental Health Transformation in Bradford. Its role is to increase access to Psychological Therapies to working age and older adults with serious mental illnesses who previously fell between gaps of primary and secondary mental health care. Our mission is to provide community-based care that is the right kind of help at the right time and with a particular focus on providing culturally sensitive support to people from minoritized communities.
The Core Therapy Service is Trauma-Informed and Person-Centered. As a Group Support Volunteer, you will be joining a creative and committed team where you will be provided with opportunities for continuing development and high-quality supervision and support.
The Group Support Volunteer will support the non-clinical aspects of group sessions,
The post holder will gain experience working within a community group setting, providing a supportive presence to encourage and enhance engagement and provide a positive group experience.
Weekly group days/times TBC. You will be expected to arrive 30min-1hour before the group starts to allow necessary conversations to take place and setup.
