Volunteering Opportunities
#BDCFT Volunteer Service
Airedale Centre for Mental Health, Keighley, BD20 6TD
NHS Volunteering opportunities are available across the Bradford, Airedale and Craven District. We have a wide range of services, many of which take volunteers.
About the Organisation
Bradford District Care Trust welcome people from all backgrounds and is keen to reflect the population we serve. We are currently underrepresented in terms of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups, and so applications from these groups are encouraged to apply.
Selection Meetings will take place for this role so please ensure you are available on both days before submitting your application.
Do you have a skill in pampering, such as hand massage, hair styling or applying make up? Would you like to bring your skills to our relaxing weekly therapeutic groups with service users?
As a Volunteer you will support the Occupational Therapy team to facilitate weekly therapeutic groups on the ward. You will share hair, beauty and pampering skills with service users such as hand massage, hair styling, henna applying make-up and painting nails.
This role is based at Airedale Centre for Mental Health and you will have regular contact with service users within an inpatient environment.
