We are celebrating the International Day of Older People (IDOP) throughout October 2024.
Grants of up to £400 are available for community and voluntary groups working with people aged 50 plus to organise a celebratory event that is accessible to older people, their carers, family and friends. Events should be additional to your existing offer and run between the 1st and 31st October 2024.
The theme for this year’s campaign is ‘The part we play’. Older people play an integral part in strengthening our communities and neighbourhoods, as workers, carers, volunteers, activists, and community connectors.
We would like to see events and activities that celebrate these roles and the contributions older people make to our community.
