You’ll engage with people in nightlife venues, community spaces, and outdoor events – promoting health, harm reduction, and connecting them to the support they need.
This will be approx. 4 hours per week (flexible).
What you will be doing:
- Deliver targeted outreach, sharing health information, promoting specific campaigns, and signposting services.
- Engage LGBTQ+ communities and those at risk of HIV in conversations about sexual health, mental health, wellbeing and other awareness raising matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with local venues and organisations.
- Gather insights to inform future services.
They’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in outreach, health promotion, or community engagement.
- Knowledge about LGBTQ+ health and social issues and an understanding of HIV.
- Strong communication skills who can connect and build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
- The ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently in nightlife and public settings.
- The ability to work evenings and weekends as appropriate.
- A driver with access to a car (travel expenses covered as per policy).
