About the Organisation

As a Music Session Volunteer you will help support nursing staff in engaging with service users by using Music Sessions to aid recovery and enhance their rehabilitation experience and well-being.
You will help develop service users’ knowledge, skills and understanding of music and musical instruments.
This role will come into regular contact with service users and will be based at Airedale Centre for Mental Health.

The skills you need:
Proficient in playing a musical instrument
Desirable - Experience of teaching or playing music
Desirable - Experience of mental health (work or lived exp) and/or dementia
Desirable - Experience working in an NHS setting or similar large organization
Flexible and adaptable
Punctual and reliable
Well presented, with a friendly and approachable manner
Relate to people in a polite, friendly and courteous manner
Good communication skills Able to follow instructions
Ability to be calm in the face of difficult situations
