Overgate Hospice is an independent, local charity with a mission to ensure that our patients and those caring for them live the best possible life.
About the Organisation
Our charity shops raise vital funds to keep the hospice open. Our furniture shop in Hebden Bridge is a specialist shops - We have hundreds of volunteers who make it possible for us to serve Calderdale.
Both our Hebden Bridge and Brighouse stores are a treasure trove of donated items. We sell furniture, books, vinyl records, DVDs and CDs, clothes, bric-a-brac, paintings and much more!
Volunteers help serving customers and using the till or help in the sorting area, pricing and displaying items for sale and organising stock rotation.
Both shops require weekend volunteers: Minimum 3 hours Saturday or Sunday am and pm
Brighouse also requires volunteers who can do a 3 or 4 hour shift Monday am or pm, Tuesday pm, Wednesday pm.
What are we looking for?
What will you get from us?
Customer service skills, retail skills although training will be given.
Expenses reimbursed, references given and experience of the retail charity world.
When do we need you?
Additional Requirements
Minimum 3 hours on Monday pm, Tuesday am or pm, Thursday pm, Friday am or pm and Saturday pm.
We need shop assistants in Hebden Bridge and Brighouse shops
