The Bowling Green, 180 Centre Vale Park, Burnley Rd, Todmorden, OL14 7DE
Volunteering at Parkrun is an opportunity to get outside, make new friends, have fun, learn new skills and to be a valuable part of your local community.
About the Organisation
Parkrun is an international free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. It is a 5k circuit of Centre Vale Park and takes place every Saturday morning at 9am
Volunteers are fundamental to the delivery of park run events, and carry out roles such as setting up the event, marshalling, timekeeping, scanning, handing out finish tokens or tail walking. If you don't want a particular task, please let us know and we will happily give you an alternative job. Nevertheless, none of our tasks are too stressful. For under 18 we would assign them to a role where they are in sight of an adult volunteer at all times. For under 11's, they have to be with a responsible adult they know.
As a volunteer you are the eyes and ears of parkrun. If you have any concerns that arise at a parkrun event, whether involving children or adults, you should discuss those concerns with the Run Director on the day.
