About the Organisation
As we get older, our social circles diminish, and we find ourselves with fewer and fewer people to turn to. Loneliness can be cruel, and it affects millions of people over 75 who live in social isolation.
Re-engage is making life less lonely for thousands of older people every year.
Our activity groups give people 75 and over the chance to do gentle exercise as they make connections with other people. Our activity groups take place both face to face and online.
We are a charity that is positive about older age and committed to fighting loneliness so that people can have social lives and friendship however old they are.
All our services are free to older people.
This is an administrative role that requires communicating and socialising with older people and volunteers from all walks of life.
The activity group will be at the same community venue (Hope Baptist church) and will include older people, activity group leads, drivers, and the activity group coordinator.
Activity groups normally last around two hours and will include an activity (Tai chi) that gets people moving.
This role takes place on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 12.00-1.30pm

As a valued Re-engage volunteer you’ll receive training, support and regular updates and communication from the Re-engage team.
