You’re invited to Skills Connect ‘Care with Confidence’ – a FREE, two day mentoring and coaching skills development programme, delivered by Octavia Learning.
Designed for health and social care professionals and voluntary sector staff (ages 19+). This opportunity is open to West Yorkshire residents who work in health and social care or the voluntary sector and have the right to work in the UK.
The 2025 dates are as follows:
Course Dates (Attendance required on both days in chosen location)
- Leeds (LS6) – Tuesday 28th January (10am – 2:30pm) and Tuesday 11th February (10am – 2:30pm)
- Halifax (HX1) – Thursday 13th February (10am – 2:30pm) and Thursday 27th February (10am – 2:30pm)

- Difference between, and benefits of, mentoring and coaching
- Qualities of a good mentor and coach
- Setting proffesional boundaries
- Communication styles
- GROW model coaching
- Using coaching skills alongside tools and techniques to help others overcoming limiting beliefs and adopt different perspectives
- Coaching in a fast-paced environment
- Using coaching skills alongside giving feedback
