Applicants for grants are open to UK residents (England Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland mainland only) aged 16 years or over.
All applicants need to do is share the exceptional contribution that a local organisations has made to their local community and what the grant would be used for.
The grants will be given based on the strength of the applicants story, the recipients levels of dedication to their community and what the grant would be spent on and its impact for the local community.
The following is NOT eligible for funding:
- Individuals
- Community Interest Companies with shares (CICs).
- Community Interest Companies with guarantee that are less than two years old.
- Profit-making organisations.

Once the closing date of 4th June 2025 has passed, SPAR will carry out a shortlisting process, where the successful organisations will be selected by SPAR, at SPAR’s discretion and so as to provide a broad representation across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The proportion of the grant being allocated to each region shall be decided by SPAR once the successful applicants have been chosen.
