St Paul's Methodist Church, Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge HX6 2EQ
Would you like to volunteer for an organisation that makes a difference every week through the simple kindness of listening, patience and a good cup of tea (with a biscuit or two)?
About the Organisation
Memory Lane Cafe provides a dementia-friendly environment for people affected by dementia, other memory problems and isolation. We always have a varied programme of games & crafts, information and support, cakes and conversation, provided by our dedicated team of volunteers, who are always available for a chat and will offer you a very warm welcome.
Memory Lane Cafe takes place in St Paul's Church, Sowerby Bridge every 2nd and 4th Saturday in the month, and Maurice Jagger Centre, Halifax every 1st and 3rd Monday in the month.
Volunteers support the café by:
- Planning events and activities
- Setting up the room before people arrive
- Welcome visitors to the cafe
- Make and serve drinks
- Engage in conversation and socialising
- Help members with a variety of activities
- Help clear up after activities
