Working together with St Anne’s Community Services and other organisations in Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield on a new project called The Dapple Project.
The project will help more people with a learning disability to get good care when they are ill and dying.
In these workshops, they will tell you about the project and how you can get involved.
The workshops include:
- Living your Best Life Before you Die (Workshop for people with a learning disability) 11am – 1pm
- Together you will: Play the hat game, Tell the story of John who was ill and died, but lived a good life. Make art about living a good life, Think about if you would like to join their new project.
- Lets Talk about Dying with people with a Learning Disability (Workshop for professionals and families) 2pm – 4pm
- Together you will explore: What end of life care planning involves (and why it matters), How you can talk about dying with people with a learning disability, How you can use the resources in a new toolkit (the Victoria & Stuart Project), What new research is happening right now in Kirklees/Calderdale/Wakefield (The Dapple Project)
