Volunteer Virtual Marketplace

This week is Volunteers Week 2024!

Volunteers’ Week is an opportunity to celebrate the incredible volunteers across the country and here in Calderdale, we wanted to showcase the fantastic VCSE organisations who are still looking for new volunteers to join them.

If you’re not already volunteering, this VSI Alliance Virtual Marketplace is a chance to hear what it’s like to volunteer from local volunteers themselves and find out about some of the local volunteering opportunities available for you to get involved in.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is a powerful way to give back to your local community whilst also improving your own physical and emotional wellbeing. Learn new skills and develop your confidence all whilst giving back to a local VCSE
group and cause that’s important to you.

Our volunteering programme involves:

  • induction and safeguarding training
  • the chance to meet new people from around the world

Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Volunteers provide much-needed additional support to the Charity by spreading the word about YAA in local communities, increasing our fundraising opportunities, and providing valuable skills and experience. Volunteers are an integral part of our YAA family, without their help, we could not raise the much-needed funds to keep this vital service flying.

We are always looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and committed people to join the team. Our volunteer’s passion and dedication mean that we can continue to be there for the people of Yorkshire and continue saving lives.

Our volunteer roles are flexible and can fit around you, whether that’s weekly, monthly, or a few times a year.
