LightUpBahc is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Volunteer Bid Writer to support their fundraising efforts.
About the Organisation
As a grassroots organisation, LightUpBahc works to uplift individuals and families of African descent, Black and Minority Ethnic communities, and the wider public across Calderdale and Leeds. We provide support for people facing barriers such as unemployment, low income, social isolation, and poor mental health, while also promoting African culture and heritage through community engagement and events.
In this role, you will help research suitable grant and funding opportunities and assist in writing clear, persuasive funding applications. You’ll work closely with our team to gain a solid understanding of our projects and objectives, ensuring that each proposal reflects the impact and importance of our work.

We’re looking for someone with strong written communication skills and attention to detail. Prior experience with bid writing or fundraising is highly desirable.
