About the Organisation
St Mary's Church runs a warm, safe drop-in cafe on Thursdays, works with the local food bank, hosts musical events, offers pastoral visiting and support, and works in partnership with the wider community on environmental, social and interfaith activities. They also visit care homes, hold school visits, work with bereavement, elderly, disability and faith groups and Todmorden in Bloom and other churches.
Main purpose of the role: To cook a weekly lunch for up to 5 local families a lunch once a week. Mondays or Tuesdays.
Main purpose of the role: To cook a simple vegetarian main and/or pudding for about five families (about 15 portions)
What you will be doing:
To help prepare, serve and clear a lunch for local families
When and where you will be doing it: Up to 3 hrs probably Monday or Tuesday - from 1 -4 weeks per month
Cooking in an Environmental Health approved kitchen
