The Vulnerability & Policing Futures Research Centre have been working on co-designing community resilience to online child sexual exploitation and abuse victimisation. The project, which has been led by Dr Sarah Carlick (Director, Me Safe) with support from the West Yorkshire Violence Reduction Partnership, commenced in October last year and has built on a two-year project in a pilot study of another local authority, to take these standards and develop a model for West Yorkshire and assess how these standards apply locally.
After several months they have their final event for this project “The West Yorkshire Technology: Safety, Trust and Relationships Alliance” taking place on Child Exploitation Awareness Day, 18th March 10am – 2:30pm.
The Project Event aims to cover:
• Presentation of the Project Findings along with Resources
• Child-led Technology Alliance co-production group(s)
• Technology: Safety, Trust and Relationships Self Evaluation Tool
• Future Project Outcomes
• Next steps and national roll out
Lunch will be provided and there will be an opportunity to network during this time.
A detailed agenda will be shared in due course.
