Pilgrims Trust’s Young Women in Mind Programme to Reopen

From 12th May, the Pilgrims Trust’s five-year, £5 million Young Women in Mind programme will accept applications from UK registered charities with an annual income of between £100,000 and £1 million, that have been operating for at least three years and whose work or project is located in the North East of England or Yorkshire and The Humber.

Grants of between £60,000 and £10,000 spread across three years are available. It is expected that around 10 projects will be supported.

The funding is for mental health services that support young women with existing and increasingly entrenched mental health problems. Their mental health needs may not have been formally diagnosed but will have a clear impact on their ability to cope.

The following costs will be supported:

  • Project delivery costs
  • Staff costs and fees
  • Cores e.g., a contribution toward salaries of core staff, building overheads
  • Advocacy, learning and evaluation costs, networking, advocacy/campaigning activities and sharing good practice (e.g., publications, convening groups)

Funding is for projects where at least 80% of the participants of the work fall withing the 16 – 25 age band.

There is a two-stage application process.

Applications for stage on open on 12th May and close on 7th July 2025
